Joining is 100% free! Interested? Here's what you have to do:

1) Review the | About | page and Attendee Code of Conduct below in detail so you know what you're getting into and what behavior is expected of you.

2) Join the email list. Email TenebrisSomniorum (at) gmail.com requesting to join.

   a) You will receive a welcome email (check your spam folder!) with a one-time-use Discord invite link.

   b) Emails will only be sent 2-3 times per month and will contain updates on upcoming showings akin to the | Next Event | page.

3) If necessary, download Discord and create an account. You'll need this for your server invitation link to work.

4) Links to the Kosmi stream will be shared in Discord prior to showtime. Note that this service only works on a Chromium browser.

 

Note that the welcome email processe is NOT instant, but will be completed prior to the next event. We have no staff, no budget, and no revenue. Please be patient.

 

PS: For an optimal experience, we recommend using separate devices for viewing and chatting. For instance, the Kosmi stream on a laptop Chromecasted/HDMI'd to your TV, with Discord on your phone. Or Discord on the laptop and the Kosmi stream Chromecasting to your TV.

Attendee Code of Conduct

1) If joining the Discord there is no requirement to turn your video or audio on. In fact, it is possible to only access the stream if you aren't interested in the social aspect of this experience and just want to watch the movies.

2) It is ok to talk and riff during the films, but don't overdo it. Let the film breathe and give room for others to participate. Hang out for 15 minutes and you'll get the idea. The Discord channel for events is Push-To-Talk to prevent feedback.

3) Have some basic human decency and read the room. Off color jokes, and even brief religious/political jokes, are ok. Just try to stay in context. That said, repeated mean-spirited jokes aren't a good look, and nobody wants to focus on religion or politics. Again, simply don't overdo it. You might be confronted with the possibility that you aren't as funny as you think you are, but we're still glad you decided to join us. Trolling with inappropriate comments will result in a kick and/or ban.

4) Absolutely no personal attacks on attendees will be tolerated. There is a difference between this and friendly ribbing. This is an all-inclusive environment and this will be enforced judiciously.

 

The experience is moderated. The definition of inappropriate behavior is entirely up to the mods and the court of public opinion. Your video and audio can be muted. You can be kicked and banned. Please be considerate.
